Position: Platform Engineering Analyst
Level: Mid

Location: Newport, Rhode Island

Telework: Hybrid remote/onsite, with typical set schedule at Government facility

Travel:
Salary: $118-$130k

Position Overview:

We are seeking a Platform Engineering Analyst to support submarine network modernization efforts. In this role, you will review submarine alterations against existing baselines and perform detailed impact analysis on affected systems and subsystems. You will identify risks and deliver Alteration Impact Reports to support program decision-making

Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
  • Review SHIPALTs and engineering change documentation to compare proposed alterations against current system baselines.
  • Conduct in-depth system impact analysis, assessing effects on integration, interoperability, architecture, common services, cost, and schedule.
  • Identifypotential risks and develop recommended mitigation strategies for each alteration.


  • Develop detailed engineering reports, including Alteration Impact Reports
  • Coordinate with integration teams to ensure thorough analysis and effective communication of findings


Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 5years of experience insubmarine alteration documentation
  • Active Secret clearancerequiredwith eligibility for Top Secret/SCI access and work in classified environments including SIPRNet and NATO systems

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with shipboard fiber cableplants (both conventional and blown optic), and commercial and MIL style fiber components.
  • Experience with Individual Platform GFIManagement Plans
  • Experience with submarine hotel services(power, cooling, etc.)
