Must Have Technical/Functional Skills
-812+ years of experience in network, cloud, or platform engineering with significant architecture and design responsibility in large-scale environments.
- Deep expertise in designing highly available, resilient compute and network platforms that support virtualized network services across distributed sites.
- Strong background in switching, routing, VRF-lite, BGP, management network design, secure access, and redundant WAN connectivity.
- Experience with high-speed data center networking, including 100G/400G architectures and scalable leaf-spine or equivalent fabric designs.
- Hands-on knowledge of virtualization, NFV platforms, and hosting network functions in cloud-enabled environments.
- Proven ability to develop architecture documentation, implementation standards, and technical reviews for cross-functional stakeholders.
- Strong working knowledge of Red Hat OpenShift, Kubernetes, OpenStack, Linux administration, automation tools such as Ansible and Terraform, and CI/CD integration.
- Experience with SONiC or other network operating systems, modern data center fabric designs, and cloud connectivity architectures.
- Experience working in Equinix or comparable colocation environments with globally distributed deployment standards.
- Knowledge of overlay networking, API-driven orchestration, automation frameworks, and service provisioning approaches for virtualized platforms.
- Experience supporting security hardening, regulated environments, and compliance-aligned controls for shared, multi-tenant infrastructure.
Familiarity with TAO, AT&T managed services, cloud voice, NetBond, SBCs, SD-WAN, and related managed network service portfolios is a plus by note mandatory
Roles & Responsibilities
This role is responsible for the end-to-end architecture, engineering, and lifecycle evolution of cloud-hosted, multi-tenant virtualized network service platforms. The work includes designing secure, highly available, and resilient network and platform solutions across distributed cloud, data center, and colocation environments; enabling scalable deployment of virtualized network functions and managed services; supporting platform buildouts, migration interoperability, and service transitions; and ensuring strong security, compliance, operational readiness, and technical documentation. The position also provides technical leadership across cross-functional teams, vendors, and customer-facing initiatives to deliver reliable, modern network service capabilities.
Salary Range: $100,000-$130,000 a year
