Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a Senior Collaboration Platform Designer with strong, hands-on experience designing, deploying, and supporting Microsoft 365 collaboration and Power Platform solutions at enterprise scale. This role supports production SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, OneDrive, and Power Platform environments and participates in collaboration platform modernization and migration initiatives, including on-premises SharePoint to Microsoft 365 and tenant-to-tenant migrations.

This position prioritizes real-world, operational experience over certifications. While Microsoft certifications are valued, demonstrated hands-on experience designing, deploying, automating, migrating, and supporting Microsoft 365 collaboration and Power Platform workloads in production environments carries significantly more weight.

Experience supporting the design, governance, and day-to-day operations of SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, and the Power Platform is a core part of this role, directly supporting the Department's collaboration and Power Platform management task area.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage site collections, Teams, channels, permissions, and sharing using least-privilege principles
  • Configure and maintain collaboration governance: external sharing, retention, sensitivity labels, and lifecycle policies
  • Monitor platform health, service health, and adoption using the Microsoft 365 admin centers and usage reporting
  • Troubleshoot production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and manage problem resolution to SLA

    • Approvals and event-driven workflows
    • Business process and forms automation (Power Apps / SharePoint forms)
  • Build Power BI dashboards and reports for operational and SLA reporting
  • Reduce manual effort through standardized, reusable components and automation

Collaboration Platform Migration & Modernization
  • Support collaboration platform migration initiatives, including:

    • Tenant-to-tenant Microsoft 365 migrations
  • Assist with:
    • Migration planning and execution

Application & End-User Support
  • Support solutions deployed on:
