Responsibilities

  • Perform installations and maintenance repairs on equipment and facilities
  • Conduct preventive and emergency maintenance as needed
  • Manage project installations across various maintenance areas
  • Specify and request necessary supplies for assigned tasks
  • Oversee crew operations and performance during assigned shifts

Job Summary and Qualifications

The Senior Watch Engineer demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to perform installations, maintenance repairs, preventive maintenance, emergency maintenance, and project installations in all general areas of maintenance to and for the hospital, medical office buildings, equipment, and grounds (excluding gardening). Specifies and requests the necessary supplies to accomplish the assigned tasks. You are responsible for the operations and performance of the crew on the shift assigned.

  • Graduation from High School or equivalent required
  • Approved apprenticeship program preferred
  • Certificate of qualification reflecting appropriate trade (if applicable)
  • Minimum of 5 years in general hospital maintenance (will consider hotel or construction experience is qualified).
  • Must have continuous upgrading training in any general trade with documentation of same.
