PLANT MANAGER - CARROLLTON, TX
OVERVIEW:The Plant Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of plant operations, including production, quality control, maintenance, and personnel management for a facility with 150 or more employees. This role requires a strategic leader who can optimize processes, improve productivity, and maintain high standards of food safety and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will be adept at shaping a positive workplace culture, managing collaboratively and proactively, and understanding the details of operations, finances, and metrics to drive performance.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:- Oversee daily operations of the food manufacturing plant to ensure production schedules are met.
- Develop and implement operational strategies to improve efficiency, productivity, and profitability.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, quality standards, and health and safety policies.
- Manage and lead plant staff, including hiring, training, and performance management.
- Shape and foster a positive workplace culture that emphasizes safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Promote collaborative and proactive management practices to engage and motivate the workforce.
- Monitor production processes and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Develop and manage the plant budget, including cost control and financial planning.
- Analyze and understand operational details, financial metrics, and performance data to make informed decisions.
- Collaborate with the quality assurance team to maintain high product quality standards.
- Oversee maintenance of plant equipment and facilities to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.
- Prepare and present reports on plant performance, production metrics, and operational issues to senior management.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in plant management within the food manufacturing industry.
- In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and quality standards.
- Proven experience in process optimization and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Strong financial acumen and budget management experience.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
