Job DescriptionRogers Group is currently seeking a Plant Manager for one of our aggregate's operations located in Dayton, TN. The position reports to the Area Production Manager. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated ability to lead safety, quality, and revenue generation throughout our existing operations and additional operations through growth.
Job Responsibilities: - Supervising quarry/mine employees and plant operations in a limestone surface mine.
- Overseeing proper implementation of safety procedures.
- Control costs to meet budgets and reduce costs to achieve savings.
- Identify deficiencies and implement a plan for continuous improvement.
- Effectively manage staff by setting clear performance objectives, providing regular feedback, and providing development through training.
- Ensure compliance with all Company and Government policies and regulations.
- Direct mine and pit planning.
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting.
- Ensure processes for quality product production and collaborate with area QC department.
- Actively reaching out and being involved in the local community.
Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in mining engineering, geological engineering or similar is strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in quarry operations.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a supervisory role.
- Working knowledge of profit and loss statements and basic accounting principles.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to develop leadership at the lead person and foreman levels.
- Demonstrated ability in identifying, communicating, and implementing best operating practices, including quality, maintenance, production, and safety excellence.
- Proven safety record and excellent compliance in MSHA safety standards.
- Possess strong basic math knowledge.
- Basic surveying and mapping skills are required.
- Working knowledge of environmental policies, standards, and best practices.
- Working knowledge of AggQC and AggFlow is a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Windows and Office.
