Full Job Description
We are seeking a Plant Manager to join our team!

*This is an on-site role, and will not be remote or hybrid, at any time.*

About the Role:

As a Plant Manager with Best Block, you are responsible for:
  • Ensure company safety programs are being followed and utilized to ensure the safety of our employees. Provide safety training and task specific guidelines for all employees. Complete monthly and yearly compliance audits and activities that drive continuous improvement throughout the business. Weekly & Monthly safety meetings.
  • Develop and maintain high plant standards of safety and work conditions, administer safety programs, and ensure compliance with all safety regulations.
  • Utilize our facilities, equipment, and personnel to achieve the highest level of product production while ensuring safety and quality standards are met at the lowest possible cost.
  • Continuous improvement in product quality that includes product testing to ensure our manufactured products meet all specifications and requirements.
  • Maintain equipment readiness, plant cleanliness and storage, and production line efficiency.
  • Maintaining an adequate inventory of raw materials, packaging materials, spare parts, and molds.
  • Utilize downtime tracking and productivity data to drive all maintenance activities, which include predictive, preventative, and corrective actions.
  • Effectively communicate organizational policies and procedures and provide daily direction to various staff functions, including production scheduling, administration, inventory management, order process, and transportation.
  • Provide leadership and direction to the Team, which includes selection, development, and evaluation of personnel in all positions. Ensure all machine operators receive training that improves their level of knowledge and proficiency of safe plant operations.
  • Possess a deep understanding of all manufacturing processes and production equipment.
  • Ensure all quality procedures are adhered to and documented in compliance with company policies.
  • Schedule production shifts and personnel so that production schedules and timelines are met, while being adaptable to any changes in business levels.


Requirements
  • Experience with Concrete Products Manufacturing is a plus!
  • Understanding of Programmable Logic Controlled (PLC) equipment.
  • Proficient in a variety of PC-based software applications.
  • Demonstrated history of working in a team-oriented environment with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Positive "can do" attitude and ability to motivate team.
  • Self-starter. Able to work independently, plan, prioritize, coordinate, delegate, manage and complete work.
  • Able to analyze problem circumstances, solve problems, and give direction regarding problem resolution in an expeditious fashion.
  • Possesses effective time management skills. Able to "switch gears" between tasks without losing focus.
