OverviewThe Plant Manager will coordinate and direct the operations, maintenance, quality and engineering departments within a growing facility. Total plant employment is approximately 100 employees. The Plant Manager will have 6-7 direct reports. We operate 24/6 and all plants maintain IATF 16949:2016 certification.
The successful candidate must have:- 5 plus years' direct operations leadership experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment, preferably involved in the automotive industry.
- B.S. in Engineering with a 3.5 GPA or greater, preferably with some background in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering.
- Proven track record of direct supervision of hourly employees in a manufacturing environment.
- The ability to interact with multiple levels within our customer's organization.
Job Responsibilities: - Direct P+L responsibility for multiple plant production departments in addition to engineering, quality and product development.
- Achieve defined sales, operational, safety and environmental goals and standards.
- Develop new processes to achieve quality improvements and cost reductions.
- Interface with customers to support quality objectives and develop new business.
- Develop and maintain process documentation.
- Additional duties as required.
Skills Necessary:- Proven skills regarding analytical and operational problem solving.
- Automotive Quality discipline.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to develop a team-oriented culture.
- Knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and MS Project.
- Strong hands on mechanical and chemical process knowledge
