Overview
The Plant Manager Fabrication Operations is a Manager role and reports directly to the Director of Operations. The role is responsible for the overall strategic, operational, financial, and functional performance of a Fabrication Facility (Shop). A Manager Fabrication Operations provides leadership to all professional, staff and production personnel in order to communicate strategic plans that support the organization's mission and goals. The role establishes facility financial budgets and manage both project financial costs and facility overhead budgets. Responsible for all shop fabrication activities, and coordination with accounting, billing, contract administration, equipment, government compliance, human resources, procurement, project controls, and project management personnel to ensure production effectiveness, efficiency and compliance.
Responsibilities

- Responsible to maintain all facility standards for maintenance, repairs, and capital improvements
- Establish and maintain fabrication production schedules
- Establishes and maintains competitive production wage schedules
- Establishes and manages annual capital investment budgets.
- Drives overall fabrication marketing strategy for the organization and is responsible for identifying and capitalizing on new opportunities for expanding regional services.
- Contributes to Fabrication operational strategy development
- Develops financial and operational objectives within own area and ensures plans are aligned with business objectives
- Development of direct reports with maintained succession plan for role
- Provide competitive fabrication cost estimates
- Quantify fabrication contract scope changes
- Develops relationships with key internal/external stakeholders to identify emerging needs
- Influences customer and/or organizational leadership to accomplish operational objectives
- Anticipates demands to align operational priorities
- Manages resources to ensure financial objectives are met
- Allocates staff and resources to meet objectives
- Assures day-to-day administration of employee and Company records
- Responsible for preparing and managing annual fabrication shop overhead budgets

Qualifications
- Typically 15-20 years since first degree and 10+ years of relevant experience
- 10+ years in an Operational role
- Experience in managing fabrication subcontracts and vendor(s)
- High degree of computer literacy (Advanced Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc.).
- Professional degree (Engineering or BS) preferred and/or equivalent work experience
- Typically 15-20 years since first degree and 10+ years of relevant experience
- 10+ years in an Operational role
- Experience in managing fabrication subcontracts and vendor(s)
- High degree of computer literacy (Advanced Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc.).
- Manage OH costs and recoveries to meet business plan
- Development of direct reports with maintained succession plan for role
- Accountable to execute fabrication work within Project cost estimates and budgets
- Accountable to meet project fabrication schedules

Pay Range
USD - $135,000-$199,697/Annually
