Envision Plastics, a division of Altium Packaging that manufactures differentiated post-consumer recycled polyolefin plastics used in a wide range of consumer products, is seeking a highly capable and results-driven Plant Manager to lead its Reidsville, North Carolina manufacturing facility. This role is a high-impact leadership position with direct accountability for safety, people, operations, service, and financial performance.

This is an opportunity for the successful candidate to lead a strategically important recycled resin manufacturing operation within a growing business. The Plant Manager will drive operational excellence and play a strategic role in strengthening organizational capability in support of Envision's and Altium's growth strategy. As a member of the division's leadership team, the Plant Manager will have high visibility across the enterprise, broad leadership responsibility, and the opportunity to shape plant culture, capability, and performance while delivering sustained business results. This role is well suited for a proven manufacturing leader who is energized by building teams, driving continuous improvement, and expanding into broader operational leadership over time.

Responsibilities
  • Champion a strong safety culture, ensuring safe behaviors, compliance, and proactive risk identification (including SIF prevention focus)
  • Model leadership behaviors and build a high-performance, accountable culture that drives engagement and continuous improvement
  • Build, develop, and retain a high-performing team, including coaching, performance management, and succession planning aligned with Altium's Guiding Principles
  • Translate Envision's growth strategy into clear plant-level priorities and lead execution of annual operating plans
  • Drive measurable improvements in safety, quality, service, cost, and reliability using lean principles and strong daily management systems
  • Strengthen the plant's quality system and culture to enhance process resiliency and customer confidence
  • Lead production planning and execution to consistently meet customer commitments
  • Ensure best-in-class maintenance practices (predictive and preventive) to maximize asset reliability
  • Optimize inventory management (raw materials, WIP, finished goods) to support service, working capital, and operational efficiency
  • Improve plant cost performance and efficiency through disciplined continuous improvement and proactive identification/resolution of operational inefficiencies
  • Lead development and execution of capital plans aligned with growth, capability expansion, and long-term performance
  • Strengthen customer focus through active partnership with commercial teams and direct engagement with customers as appropriate
  • Support and advance customer-driven innovation and division-level solutions initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality (GMP), environmental, and HR policies and standards
  • Drive economic sustainability improvement initiatives, e.g., waste reduction, landfill diversion, utilities usage efficiency improvements
  • Partner cross-functionally (commercial, sourcing, technology, customer service) to drive integrated business outcomes
  • Collaborate with the Chino, CA plant to standardize best practices, share learnings, and maximize Envision's overall performance
  • Support enterprise systems and digital enablement initiatives (e.g., ERP upgrades) to improve operational effectiveness


Qualifications:

Required:

- Bachelor's degree, preferably in engineering, industrial management, or related field

- 8+ years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience in lean environments

- Prior Plant Manager / Operations leadership experience in a complex manufacturing setting

- Experience in recycling, extrusion, or similarly process-intensive operations

- Demonstrated success developing talent and leading change

- Strong financial and operational management experience (including capital planning)

- Experience working with ERP systems

- Strong communication and cross-functional leadership skills

- Proficiency in MS Office applications

- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time

Preferred:

- Experience leading growth or expansion capital projects

- Experience with ERP implementations or major systems upgrades

- Advanced degree (e.g., MBA or Master's)

  • Reasonable mandatory overtime may be required due to business needs.
