Plant ManagerBrookfield, WIPosition Summary:The Plant Manager is responsible for leading all manufacturing operations, plant services, and production support functions within a fast-paced OEM manufacturing environment. This role oversees production, fabrication, assembly, testing, maintenance, quality, safety, staffing, budgeting, and operational performance to ensure efficient, cost-effective manufacturing operations that meet customer delivery expectations and company growth objectives.
The Plant Manager provides strategic and hands-on leadership across the facility while driving accountability, productivity, operational efficiency, safety, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives. This position serves as a key operational leader responsible for achieving year-over-year revenue growth, margin performance, workforce development, and operational excellence.
Job Duties:- Lead all daily manufacturing operations including fabrication, assembly, testing, maintenance, and plant support functions to ensure safe, efficient, and on-time production.
- Drive operational performance by managing productivity, labor utilization, scheduling, manufacturing throughput, and department efficiency.
- Develop and manage plant staffing plans, including hiring, workforce development, performance management, coaching, and disciplinary actions.
- Ensure products are manufactured to established quality, cost, accuracy, and delivery standards while meeting customer expectations.
- Monitor production schedules, manufacturing workflows, and operational bottlenecks to maximize efficiency and on-time delivery performance.
- Develop, manage, and monitor operational budgets, labor costs, capital expenditures, and productivity metrics.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on manufacturing efficiency, process improvements, cost reduction, safety, and operational performance.
- Maintain compliance with company policies and all applicable OSHA, EPA, environmental, safety, and regulatory requirements.
- Partner with department leaders to coordinate plant operations, resolve production challenges, and support company growth objectives.
- Serve as the primary operational leader for the facility while driving accountability, communication, organization, and execution throughout the plant.
What you need to be successful: - Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management or related
- Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing management or plant leadership experience
- Experience leading operations within an OEM, industrial, heavy manufacturing, or custom manufacturing environment
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and workforce management skills
- Experience managing production schedules, labor utilization, budgets, and operational performance metrics
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality systems, and production workflows
- Experience managing employee performance, accountability, coaching, and disciplinary processes
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and operational planning abilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and manufacturing/ERP systems
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple operational priorities simultaneously
Preferred Qualifications: - Experience with fabrication, electrical assembly, testing, or industrial equipment manufacturing
- Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience
- Experience managing capital equipment improvements and facility upgrades
- Familiarity with OSHA, EPA, and environmental compliance requirements
- Experience supporting year-over-year operational growth and margin improvement initiatives
- Experience within induction heating, industrial equipment, or engineered-to-order manufacturing environments
