We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Plant Maintenance Technician IV to join our team. This role requires a versatile individual with advanced abilities in both mechanical and electrical disciplines. The successful candidate will be a proven leader, capable of taking ownership of complex repairs, mentoring colleagues, driving continuous improvement, and collaborating effectively with engineering and management. This individual will work independently with minimal supervision, while supporting and improving key metrics: Safety, Quality, Productivity, Delivery, and Continuous Improvement.

Safety:• Follow all prescribed Health, Safety and Environmental laws, rules, and regulations.• Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations during maintenance activities. Identify potential hazards and implement corrective measures to maintain a safe working environment. • Complete all required safety and regulatory training as applies in a timely manner. • Surveys job sites to identify potential hazards and countermeasures prior to commencing work.Equipment:

• Troubleshoot mechanical/equipment breakdowns. Act as the primary mechanic for complex repairs.• Read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, schematics, blueprints, service manuals, and work orders to perform required work. Helps clarify concepts and provides equipment training for new colleagues.• Disassembles/installs new machines, condition monitoring sensors, equipment, etc.• Recommends and executes equipment changes to improve safety, quality, and/or uptime. Vets changes through engineering and ensures documentation is updated.• Lead the Installation, assembly, and testing of machines and equipment.• Use a variety of tools to complete repairs, installations, adjustments, and part replacements.• Work from established procedures and/or verbal instructions.Preventative Maintenance:• Identifies opportunities for PM improvements and discusses them with Engineering and Management.• Lead routine preventive maintenance in accordance with specified tasks and procedures.• Takes and records measurements to allow for machine condition trend analysis. Properly enters data into CMMS.• Regularly evaluates PM procedures and makes suggestions for improvement.• Coordinates with production to ensure equipment is prepared for preventative maintenance.• Audits lock out tag outs to ensure equipment is safe prior to work.• Inspect machines regularly for signs of malfunctions. This includes both visual and sound inspections.

• Look for opportunities and make recommendations.Daily:• Work closely with maintenance colleagues and other relevant departments to coordinate maintenance activities.• Complete record of work performed in CMMS system. Looks for opportunities to improve quality of data.• Interface with all levels of Team Members in a positive, team building manner. Share knowledge and provide technical expertise/support when needed.• Maintain work areas in a neat and orderly condition in accordance with the Visual Management and 5S Standards.• Responds quickly to service calls with a sense of urgency to maximize equipment efficiency. Seeks out more complex tasks necessary to maintain plant operations.• Uses proper tools for each task.• Escalate all issues affecting key metrics: Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost.• Other duties as assigned due to business needs.

• BA University Degree ME / EE/ IE or• Associate degree ME /EE/ IE or if certification/degree does not exist OR 12+ years of work-related experience.• Journeyman Status Full apprenticeship certified (4yrs) in Mechanical or Electrical trade OR the above does not exist, 12+ years of work-highly skilled maintenance experience.• High level of mechanical trouble shooting skills, • Advanced skill level of electrical competencies; Switches, Photo-eyes, cameras, PLC’s, ladder logic, VFD’s, and/or basic faults (troubleshooting).• Will support multiple departments within the plant.• Ability to work alone on complex jobs. • Can speak fluent English (speak, read, write). • Able to follow instructions and complete assigned tasks in a reasonable timeframe. • Willingness to work a flexible schedule. • Needs no direction from Engineering or Supervision• Ability to Mentor, Train, Lead, while communicating Properly and appropriately with Operators, Team Leads, Supervisors and other Maintenance colleagues. The expectation is we learn from each other. Clearly communicate to Operators, Supervisors and Managers when troubleshooting issues or working on scheduled maintenance initiatives. • Reviews documented work in CMMS for completeness and accuracy.• Writes procedures, initiates drawing changes. Investigate part substitutions and complete change management.• Coordinates with planner for job plan creation and improvement.• Lifting up to 50 lbs, with the ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time, stretching, climbing, twisting, turning, standing, pulling, pushing, reaching, and bending.
