Job Title: Injection Manager
Type of contract: Full-time, Permanent
Expected Hiring Date: Target September 2026 (flexible; earlier start possible)
Scope: Local (Plant-based role in Toledo, OH; exposure to corporate and regional injection networks)
Responsibilities- Lead injection molding operations to achieve safety, quality, delivery, cost, and performance targets in a JIT automotive environment.
- Manage and develop a large injection organization, including engineers, maintenance, shift leaders, and tool room teams (approximately 50 employees).
- Ensure compliance with Corporate and Business Group HSE and energy requirements.
- Drive disciplined daily management routines, KPI reviews, and structured problem-solving to ensure KPI convergence.
- Guarantee production output meets customer specifications, including high standards for visual and cosmetic parts.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives across injection molding processes, equipment performance, and standard work.
- Act as IMS process owner for the injection area, including KPIs, procedures, audits, and corrective actions.
- Manage short- and mid-term production planning, capacity, and support new product and program launches.Oversee operating budgets and contribute to industrial feasibility and cost optimization for new programs.
- Support greenfield activities including best practice deployment, visual management implementation, and team onboarding.
Profile- Minimum 5 years of experience in an industrial manufacturing environment with direct exposure to injection molding operations.
- Strong automotive manufacturing background; experience with Tier 1 or Tier 2 suppliers preferred.
- Demonstrated experience leading injection molding production with heavy KPI ownership (OEE, scrap, delivery, quality). Proven people leader with experience managing large, multi-layered teams.
- Strong understanding of JIT manufacturing and on-time delivery requirements.
- Solid knowledge of injection molding processes, troubleshooting, and equipment performance optimization.
- Continuous Improvement mindset; Lean manufacturing experience required (certification a plus, not mandatory).
- Highly disciplined, structured, and results-oriented leader with strong execution rigor.
- Strong communication skills; English is sufficient.
- Proficiency with standard business tools (Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and related reporting tools).
