Plant Engineer- Plant Miller
Job Summary

This position will support plant operations, maintenance, and capital project execution through the application of engineering principles to improve plant reliability, efficiency, safety, and environmental compliance. The Plant Engineer is responsible for providing technical expertise for plant systems and equipment, identifying and implementing solutions to improve performance, and supporting troubleshooting efforts during equipment failures and operational challenges. The position will develop engineering evaluations, recommendations, and project scopes to support maintenance and capital improvements.

The Plant Engineer will coordinate and manage assigned projects from conception through completion, including budgeting, scheduling, contractor oversight, procurement support, and project documentation. The engineer will work closely with operations, maintenance, contractors, vendors, and corporate support groups to ensure projects are executed safely, efficiently, and within budget.
Job Qualifications
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited college or university is required.
Experience
  • A minimum of three years of power plant or industrial engineering experience is preferred.
  • A minimum of one year of project management or project engineering experience is preferred.
  • Experience developing project scopes, estimates, schedules, and contractor work packages is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint is required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of power plant systems and engineering principles.
Travel Requirements

Minimal travel required. Periodic travel may be required for training, vendor visits, and project support activities.
