DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Oversees all planning, reporting, and analysis of Standard Product Costing, Manufacturing Variances, Inventory and its component parts.
  • Develops standard costs
  • Maintains fixed assets
  • Ensures reserves are calculated appropriately.
  • Ensures manufacturing performance is accurately reported.
  • Partners with the Manufacturing Directors and Plant Leadership Team to optimize finance related operational decisions, ensure appropriate financial/accounting rigor, introduce process discipline as needed, and safeguard company assets.
  • Drives continuous financial improvement through Gross Profit analysis, Inventory analysis, New Product and Discontinuation Analysis, and Spending analysis.
  • Ensures that financial reports and records are prepared in compliance with US GAAP and company financial policies.
  • Ensures that financial controls are maintained and that the requirements of the Sarbanes/Oxley Act are met.
  • Assists both internal and external auditors with their periodic review of financial records and implementing agreed upon recommendations related to areas of responsibility resulting from the audit findings.
  • Reviews and monitors capital expenditure and lease agreements for proper compliance with company policies and procedure. This includes the review and approval of all Capital Appropriation Requests (CB-2's) and tracking and reporting of construction in progress in addition to the capitalization of assets.
  • Actively supports Continuous Improvement efforts by leading and/or participating in blitzes and projects as required.
  • Actively attends and participating in the Site Leadership meetings and initiatives, whenever requested.
  • Performs other related duties and assignments as required.


REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years of relevant progressive accounting AND finance experience in a manufacturing environment including experience associated with:
    • manufacturing operations
    • product costing
    • manufacturing variance analysis and inventory control
    • financial analysis
    • budgeting & forecasting experience
  • ERP and EPM experience
  • Proven ability to improve controls and influence decisions through accounting knowledge and data driven financial analysis.
  • Must be highly proficient with Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, macros, vlookups, index-match, indirect references, etc.)
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate with management of all levels.
  • Knowledge of corporate accounting policies and procedures.
  • Determined, proactive, and seeking continuous improvement.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, matrixed, challenging environment with strong attention to detail.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Proven ability to lead and serve as an effective team member in a large organization including planning, developing, organizing, directing, managing, and evaluating personnel.
  • CPA, MBA, or CMA
  • Bachelor's degree with a focus in accounting or finance
  • SAP experience
  • BPC experience
  • Audit experience and knowledge of SOX controls
