Overview:The Planning Manager leads plant planning, purchasing, and logistics within a chemical manufacturing environment. This role ensures reliable material supply, optimized inventory, and strong on-time, in-full (OTIF) customer performance while balancing service, cost, and operational efficiency. The position provides leadership to a cross-functional team and supports plant objectives in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities- Lead production planning and scheduling to support efficient operations and OTIF performance.
- Oversee procurement of raw materials and components, ensuring supply continuity and optimized inventory levels.
- Manage shipping and receiving operations, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and regulatory compliance for hazardous goods.
- Own inventory control processes, including accuracy, cycle counts, and storage standards.
- Act as site lead for ERP/MRP systems (SAP), ensuring data integrity and effective planning processes.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to align production plans with customer demand and business priorities.
- Lead and develop planning, purchasing, inventory, and logistics personnel.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across planning, inventory, and logistics.
- Champion safety, quality, and compliance with EHS, ISO, and GMP standards.
Qualifications- Post-secondary education in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field.
- Professional supply chain designation (APICS/CPIM, CSCP, or equivalent) required.
- 5+ years of experience in planning, purchasing, inventory, and logistics in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong ERP/MRP experience (SAP preferred) with solid analytical skills.
- Proven people leadership experience.
- Experience with hazardous or dangerous goods is an asset.
- Lean or continuous improvement experience preferred.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work extended hours, evenings, or weekends as required.

The expected compensation range for this position is between $101,980.00 and 135,970.00 plus discretionary bonuses. The exact compensation may vary based on your skills, experience and other factors permitted by law.
