Responsibilities

PITCO Systems Engineer Position - Ship Lead

Noblis MSD is seeking a PITCO Systems Engineer to serve as Ship Lead for Consolidated Afloat Networks and Enterprise Services (CANES) support, integration, and configuration. This role involves leading installation teams and ensuring successful CANES deployment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and coordinate installation teams during CANES Software integration phase in our production facility.
  • Ensure proper equipment and software availability for installation completion.
  • Update and maintain technical documents including network templates, installation guides, systems integration procedures, and troubleshooting procedures
  • Perform analysis of hardware and software solutions to meet specifications and design requirements
  • Perform GAT inspections and quality assurance on CANES hardware and software systems
  • Experience in project planning, security management, systems maintenance, and provide daily reporting on installation progress.
  • Identify problems, assess issues, and track quality concerns related to NIEF products
  • Coordinate with project managers and government representatives to ensure all timelines are met.
  • Reviewing performance metrics, streamlining processes, and enhancing system reliability.
  • Execute PITCO checklists for software functionality, enclave separation, service status, and baseline compliance.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including Hardware Integrators, electrical engineers, project planners, and warehouse staff to ensure seamless production processes


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree OR Associate's Degree + 3 years of experience OR High School diploma + 6 years of experience.
  • Current active DOD Secret Clearance
  • Current active CompTIA Security+ Certification
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • This position is On-Site, Customer Site (San Diego) only. No remote work available.

Desired Qualifications

  • Proven experience leading technical teams in complex system installations or Hardware Production.
  • Strong analytical skills for quality data analysis.
  • Responsible for creating, submitting, and tracking multiple material requests to ensure timely production of hardware systems for software integration.
  • Familiar with CANES software deployment, configuration, and validation within the Navy's Network Integration and Engineering Facility (NIEF)
  • Familiar in loading, configuring, and validating operating systems, middleware, and mission-critical Navy applications across multiple enclaves
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills
  • Ability to manage team schedules and align work to project milestones
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills to work with clients, team members, and management staff; including both DOD civilian and contractor personnel

Compensation at Noblis is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this position is based on full time status. For part time or on-call staff, compensation is proportionately adjusted based on hours worked. While monetary compensation is important, it's just one component of Noblis' total compensation package.

USD $71,800.00 - USD $112,150.00 /Yr.
