Wood is currently recruiting for an Piping Engineering Designer with experience in the Chemical Manufacturing Industry. You will be responsible for design work supporting small facility-based projects in an active chemical manufacturing plant as part of the Bishop, TX capital projects group.

The Piping Engineering Designer will be responsible for design work supporting small facility-based projects in an active chemical manufacturing plant. The role involves meeting or exceeding the company's safety standards, complying with all company procedures and engineering practices, and working closely with project team members to achieve project success.

**Authorization to work permanently in the U.S. without sponsorship is required. There is no paid relocation offered for this position.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities:
  • Meet or exceed the company's safety standards
  • Comply with all company procedures, engineering practices and other standards

    • Apply company and industry standards to generate piping & mechanical construction drawings

    • Perform material take-offs and Create BOMs
    • Assist with construction estimating

Expected:
