Position DescriptionGeneral SummaryKSI Engineering, Inc. is looking for a
Piping Designer who is interested in joining a multi-disciplinary team focused on serving relationship-based clients and internal business units across multiple states.
KSI is a privately-owned, sole-source service provider of engineering, fabrication, construction, and maintenance services to multiple industries including upstream oil and gas production, natural gas treating and transportation, refining, co-generation, heavy industrial, and all types of pipelines. Piping Designer's responsibilities will be focused on supporting our existing customer base while also supporting internal stakeholders through the development of KSI-specific standards. Successful candidates will exhibit proven experience in the use of CADWorx, Plant3D, AVEVA E3D, or comparable programs in their career.
Outstanding candidates should possess strong communication & interpersonal skills, have experience working in design project teams, leading discipline-specific initiatives, and be proficient with techniques and commands.
Pay Range $30.00-$50.00 Hr. Essential Job Functions - R egular and reliable attendance.
- Responsible for Daily Shift validations.
- Prepare 3D models associated with a variety of industry and project scopes of work
- Interpret engineering & construction drawings/schematics, including P&ID's
5. Responsible for participating in feasibility studies; conceptual studies; process planning; project scoping; economic and alternative technology studies.
- Contribute to project cost estimating and scheduling; procurement support and expediting; construction management; document management systems.
- Participate in team meetings and keep active communication with customers and management.
- Draw master sketches to scale showing relation of proposed installations to existing facilities and exact specifications and dimensions.
- Will work with a project team lead where the team consists of other designers, drafters, construction personnel, and project specific engineering disciplines.
- Explain drawings to production or construction teams and provide adjustments, as necessary.
- Compliance with Environment, Health, and Safety regulatory requirements, applicable code, programs, policies and procedures.
- Follow all KSI Engineering, Inc. safety, and customer policies and procedures.

- Knowledge of technology (iPads, cellphones etc.)
- Proficient computer skills, Microsoft Office
- Experience with CADWorx, Plant3D, and/or AVEVA E3D
- Advanced experience with AutoCAD
• Knowledge and experience using survey data as it pertains to 3D model preparation
- Must be detail oriented

Education and ExperiencePreferably 2 years of industry experience along with knowledge of tools.

Working Hours: Normally, a full-time employee will work 40 hours per week, depending on the factors such as weather and schedules. Work schedules and hours may vary depending on specific client locations and projects. In general, applicable work schedules include 5-8's and 4-10's. All labor laws in reference to rest breaks and meal periods will be followed.
