Full Job Description
Our organization is seeking a highly skilled Senior Pipeline Engineer to join our workforce. The primary responsibility of this role is to lead project teams and oversee the design, permitting, and construction of natural gas pipeline expansion projects, meter stations, facility modifications, and required pipeline replacement projects.
• Lead engineering design, scope refinement, cost estimating, development of project design specifications, support construction and direct support of engineering drawings and records.
• Interface with consultant engineering firms, internal engineering, drafting, purchasing, inspection, contracts, planning, and operations personnel.
• Apply codes and regulation to various designs (Primarily 49CFR192, PHMSA, FERC, ASME B31.8).
• Utilize computer modeling and data analysis tools to aid in the evaluation, justification, and development of solutions to problems and/or opportunities.
• Influence decisions that improve reliability and operability, reduce operating costs, and create a sustainable competitive advantage.
• Utilize systems, processes, and supports the subject matter expert, occasionally act as SME to aid in decision making and potential project development.
• Translate project plans into coherent, credible, realistic project schedules.
• Prepare and provide schedule progress and risk reports, trending charts, and schedule analysis.
• Develop documentation and studies for projects that require authorization from the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission.
• Provide technical support to all functional departments, as part of troubleshooting, regulatory compliance, and optimization, during routine operations, start-up, and turnarounds.
• Possess a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from an accredited university.
• Have 10 years of engineering experience in the oil and gas industry working as a pipeline engineer, but still acquiring high level knowledge and capabilities.
• PE license preferred or ability to obtain shortly.
• Must be willing to travel in groups and/or individually up to 25% as needed.
