*This position is a full-time remote position located anywhere in the U.S*What You'll Do: This role oversees and coordinates the work of employees performing one or more drafting and design tasks; suggests ways to enhance production processes, equipment performance, and product quality; suggests changes to processes to enhance working conditions, process flow, and equipment use to increase departmental efficiency; estimates staff-hour requirements for projects to be completed on time; studies production schedules and establishes or modifies work procedures to meet schedules, utilizing knowledge of CAD machines and software capacities.
As a Design Coordinator, a typical day may include the following:- Conferring with Project Managers to coordinate departmental activities with corporate needs
- Initiating or suggesting plans to motivate staff to achieve work goals
- Recommending or initiating personnel actions, for example, promotions, transfers, discharges, and disciplinary measures
- Interviewing potential new hires and training new workers
- Maintaining time and production records
- Estimating revenue and cost of current and future projects
Required Qualifications:- 10 to 15 years of experience in the pipeline industry
- 0 to 5 years experience managing designers/drafters, dealing with HR issues, budgets, utilization
- Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D
- Experience with alignment sheets, HDD, and working with survey data
- Strong communication skills
