Full Job Description
Job Summary:

Work under the direction of a General Foreman or Superintendent on daily tasks for assigned crews. Individuals must possess a high level of pipefitting knowledge, leadership ability, and experience in industrial maintenance, turnaround, refinery, and construction environments. Responsible for directing pipefitting personnel, maintaining safety accountability, ensuring quality workmanship, and coordinating the installation, maintenance, repair, and fabrication of piping systems.

Job Functions:
  • Actively supports the Company's commitment to safety and its "Core Values."
  • Always represents the Company with high moral standards while adhering to the Company's "Code of Business Conduct and Ethics."
  • Perform duties within a precise limit or standard of accuracy (Quality Control).
  • Provide leadership and supervision to pipefitting crews engaged in maintenance, turnaround, and construction activities.
  • Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company, client, and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct daily toolbox safety meetings and maintain required documentation.
  • Manage permits, lockout/tagout procedures, and other site-specific safety requirements.
  • Interpret drawings, isometrics, specifications, and work packages to plan and coordinate daily activities.
  • Coordinate manpower, materials, tools, and equipment to support project execution.
  • Monitor work progress and ensure quality workmanship and productivity standards are maintained.
  • Complete Craft Employee Evaluations and provide coaching, mentoring, and training to employees and apprentices.
  • Maintain effective communication with clients, supervisors, craft personnel, QA/QC, and other departments.
  • Identify safety hazards and take all necessary corrective action to eliminate or minimize risks.
  • Maintain accurate records, reports, and workforce documentation as required.
  • Assure the needs of internal and external customers are met while maintaining positive working relationships.
  • Regular and reliable attendance is required.
  • Perform other responsibilities as required or assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of four (4) years or more of refinery maintenance, turnaround, or construction experience.
  • Good understanding of the craft environment being supervised and knowledge of basic hand tools
  • Must be able to pass the Craft Skills Test at or above 70% or complete NCCER certification for the applicable craft.
  • Must have a good understanding of Company policies and procedures.
  • Must complete Company Safety Training, Process Safety Management Training, S.T.A.R.T. Class, and Client/Site Specific Training.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial safety standards and protocols.
  • Able to communicate clearly with team members, supervisors, and other departments about issues and solutions.
  • MUST obtain and maintain active status within the appropriate drug testing program.
  • MUST pass background check.
  • MUST have TWIC card.
  • MUST obtain the 20-hour high hazard facility training card.
  • MUST have Verification of 8,000 craft related hours OR Graduated journeyperson status preferred.

Physical Requirements:
  • Employee will be standing, walking, bending, squatting and lifting.
  • Must be able to hear, speak, understand and communicate effectively.
  • May be required to lift, carry and move up to 50lbs.
  • Will work at heights, climb ladders and stairways and work from platforms while utilizing proper fall protection and safety protocols.
  • Must be capable of working outside in the elements including but not limited to the heat, cold, rain, snow and wind; and must be able to work for long periods of time, up to 12 hours a day.
  • Will be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to hard hat, safety glasses/goggles, ear plugs/muffs, masks/respirators, safety vests, gloves and steel-toe boots.

The pay rate will depend on the successful candidate's qualifications and prior experience, specific skill set, geographic location, internal equity, and other factors influencing pay. As such, the actual salary may fall closer to one or the other end of this range, and in certain circumstances, may fall outside the listed hiring range.

Hiring range: $58.00 to $64.00 per hour
