Full Job Description
We are currently looking for a pilot instructor to perform advanced mountain training, aircraft type and emergency training, vertical reference / water bucket training, basic and advanced NVG training and night rating.
Here are the detailed responsibilities of the role:
• Provide high-quality flight instruction to military and civilian students, ensuring safety, proficiency, and adherence to Transport Canada/FAA regulations.
• Conduct both ground and in-flight training sessions for students at various experience levels.
• Create and execute customized lesson plans tailored to individual student needs and progress.
• Monitor and assess student performance, providing constructive feedback and guidance for improvement.
• Ensure proper maintenance of aircraft by conducting pre- and post-flight inspections and reporting any issues.
• Maintain accurate and thorough student records, including flight logs and performance evaluations.
• Stay updated on industry best practices, aviation standards, and changes in regulations.
• Foster a professional and encouraging learning environment that promotes safety and confidence.
• Conduct check rides, practical exams, and assist students in preparing for certification or course completion.
• Coordinate with flight school staff to schedule lessons, aircraft, and other resources efficiently.
Qualifications
We are looking for a candidate with the following experience and skills:
• 3000+ hrs with an extensive operational background
• 1000 hrs minimum mountain experience
• Type ratings on Bell 407,AS350 - H125, EC120
• Longline Proficient
• Instructional background, teach both in the classroom and the aircraft - an asset
• Working in a team-oriented environment
• Self starter / takes initiative
• Word/Excel/PDF/ PowerPoint - Proficient
• Can work night shifts (NVG training or on contract)
• English and Spanish speaking

Salary
• Ranging from $133,000 to $180,000.
