Physicist
The Opportunity:

Leverages physics expertise to test and analyze physical phenomena to support S&T client challenges. Applies advanced advisory skills or extensive technical expertise with full industry knowledge. Develops innovative solutions to complex problems. Works without considerable direction. Mentors and may supervise team members.

You Have:

• 5+ years of experience assessing the impact of electromagnetic fields on utilities such as electrical power systems
• 5+ years of experience with EMP testing of mission-critical equipment and facilities including analyzing sufficiency of test plans and test reporting for meeting MIL-STDs
• 3+ years of experience studying nuclear weapons effects, electromagnetic wave propagation theory, electronic system design, fault isolation, installation, and electromagnetic RF testing
• 3+ years of experience designing, testing, and maintaining electrical equipment
• Ability to travel up to 35% of the time
• TS/SCI clearance
• Bachelor's degree in Physics or Electrical Engineering

Nice If You Have:

• 3+ years of experience with nuclear weapons effects propagation, mitigation theory or practice, and space radiation and weather effects protection or survivability
• 3+ years of experience with electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), electromagnetic interference (EMI), and protection of electrical systems
• 3+ years of experience with modeling and simulation with emphasis on models that assess the effects of space radiation and nuclear blast-generated effects on ground systems
• Knowledge of Combatant Command level operations, including military systems, missions, personnel, and capabilities
• Master's degree in Physics or Electrical Engineering

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $99,000.00 to $225,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
