JOB DESCRIPTION

THORACIC SURGERY OPPORTUNITY

Seeking BC/BE Thoracic Surgeons to join our team!

  • Base Salary: $650,000 with productivity incentives
  • Sign-On Bonus, Relocation Assistance, CME Allowance, Retirement Benefits & Malpractice Coverage

  • This is an employed opportunitywith Baptist Medical Group (a multidisciplinary medical group with over 1,500 employed physicians)

Some notable facts about our TS program:

  • Established thoracic surgery practice with strong referral relationships, advanced robotic capabilities, and close integration with Baptist Cancer Center

  • Primary facility: BMH - Memphis (700 bed tertiary referral center for our 26-hospital system)

  • Advanced robotic surgery program with access to:

    • Two da Vinci Xi robotic systems in Memphis

    • One da Vinci Xi robotic system in DeSoto

    • Approximately 90% of cases performed robotically

  • No required ED call

  • Flexible practice schedule featuring 3-4 OR days per week, multidisciplinary clinic participation, and dedicated outpatient clinic time

  • Established referral base with continued opportunity for growth across the Mid-South region

  • Dedicated support team including experienced APPs, first assistants, and specialized surgical staff

  • Work closely with the Baptist Cancer Center and participate in multidisciplinary care alongside medical oncology colleagues

  • Baptist has a general surgery residency which offers opportunities to teach

  • Great collaborative and collegial physicians and administrative team

  • As a not-for-profit system, BMHCC qualifies for Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF)
