Scope of PracticeThe successful candidate will perform a broad spectrum of surgical oncology and head & neck oncologic procedures, including:
Head & Neck Oncology Procedures - Tongue cancer resections
- Oral cavity cancer surgery
- Parotidectomy and salivary gland tumor surgery
- Thyroid cancer surgery
- Neck dissections for regional metastatic disease
Surgical Oncology Procedures - Melanoma surgery
- Including Sentinel Lymph Node Biopsy
- Colorectal cancer surgery
- Hyperthermic Intraperitoneal Chemotherapy (HIPEC)
- Adrenal tumor surgery
- Gastric cancer surgery
- Soft Tissue and Retroperitoneal Sarcoma surgery
Candidate Qualifications - MD or DO degree
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Surgery
- Fellowship training in Surgical Oncology and/or Head & Neck Oncology preferred
- Eligible for medical licensure in New Mexico
- Commitment to high-quality, patient-centered cancer care
- Excellent communication and collaborative practice skills
