Mayfield Brain & Spine is seeking an experienced clinical operations leader to oversee assigned clinical locations and key operational functions. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, this role partners with physicians, APPs, and associates to drive operational excellence, consistency, efficiency, and continuous improvement while supporting exceptional patient care. The role also contributes to strategic initiatives and may oversee functions such as Compliance, Telecommunications, and EHR template design.
Education/Experience:
Bachelor's Degree required; Master's degree (MHSA, MBA, or related health field) preferred

Primary Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, bi-directionally ensure organizational expectations are cascaded to physicians, APP's, associates, and other clinical and administrative areas, while representing the needs of those same groups
Responsible for the operational management of assigned clinical location(s) as well as other areas assigned, such as Compliance, Telecommunications, and Electronic Health Record template design
Responsible for the performance, consistency, and continuous improvement of assigned clinical location(s) and operational functions
Establish work procedures and standards to improve efficiency and effectiveness geared towards ensuring superior patient care
Provide input to strategic decisions that affect areas of responsibility
Essential Functions:
Help develop and maintain a corporate culture that supports the mission and values of Mayfield Clinic.
Serve as a key member of the management team. Participate in strategic planning and implementation of short- and long-term organizational initiatives that support patient care, financial, budget, and business goals.
Oversee daily operations of practice including but not limited to services, site policies, patient flow, access, staff development, performance management, and associate and physician relations.
Develop annual goals and monitor progress and address barriers promptly; Ensure all site-specific goals are achieved.
Evaluate staffing models and coverage needs using volume, productivity, access, and service requirements; recommend adjustments based on operational needs.
Partner across departments to resolve barriers affecting patient flow, scheduling, authorizations, clinical support, revenue cycle, technology, and practice performance.
Ensure assigned operations comply with organizational policies, HIPAA, compliance standards, safety requirements, and applicable laws and regulations.
Develop and implement managerial policies, procedures, and accountability measures.
Evaluate workflows and system use, identify gaps, and coordinate improvements supporting patient access, documentation, reporting, and staff efficiency.
If assigned: MIPS (Merit-based incentive payment system): Monitor quality improvement through EMR data collection via the QPP website; implement process changes to meet measures; communicate findings to CMS during the yearly attestation period.
Create and modify existing EMR templates.
Record and maintain on-call schedule as required.
Conduct department meetings on a regular basis
Ensure patient complaints and service concerns are addressed appropriately, consistently, and in a timely manner.
Provide solutions to problems with regard to people and processes.
Coordinate facility, supply, and vendor issues within assigned areas
