Position OverviewCHRISTUS Santa Rosa is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible OBGYN to join as a partner with our established, highly successful MD at a practice anchored by CHRISTUS Children's downtown-San Antonio's premier freestanding hospital for pediatric and maternal care. Stepping into an immediate opening with an existing patient base, the incoming physician will benefit from a highly collaborative, multidisciplinary environment featuring comprehensive maternal-fetal medicine (MFM) support and a robust internal referral network.
Practice Highlights- Team Structure: Join 1 existing MD as a true practice partner. The clinic is highly optimized, featuring 1 dedicated NP who handles the vast majority of well-woman exams, freeing you up for higher-acuity OB care and procedures.
- Seamless Technology: The practice and hospital are fully integrated on Epic EMR, ensuring highly efficient charting and seamless connectivity across the entire CHRISTUS network.
- Great Schedule: Monday-Friday (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM) with a flexible half-day dedicated to administrative time. Providers rotate between two clinics (Downtown and Southside).
- Call & Coverage: Supported by a dedicated OB Hospitalist program. Hospitalists handle unassigned L&D patients, triage, and outside transports, ensuring you are only responsible for your private patients. Shared call is currently being restructured for optimal work-life balance alongside your MD partner.
- Clinical Scope: 85% OB / 15% GYN focus. Target volume of 18-20+ deliveries per month. Approximately 80% of the daily clinic schedule consists of prenatal visits. VBACs are permitted with no minimal gestational age restrictions.
- Premier Facilities: Deliveries take place at a highly specialized safety-net facility featuring a Level IV NICU, a dedicated OB ED/Triage unit, and 24/7 in-house anesthesia. Advanced surgical access, including robotics and laparoscopy, is available.
- Integrated Support: Work alongside your MD partner, 1 NP, and 2 MAs. High-risk MFM support is located just down the hall.
