We are looking for a full-time Board-Certified/Board Eligible Physician in Sacramento, California! If your specialty is in PM&R, Orthopedic Spine, or Neuro-Surgery we are interested in hearing from you!

The Physician is to assume the role of a primary treating physician for injured workers as well as commercial and Medicare patients. This position requires an M.D. or D.O. with a personable and proficient in relationship building to help create a positive atmosphere. They will have the opportunity to comprehensively care for their patients within our multidisciplinary organization. The M.D. must also be comfortable communicating with agents of payors for utilization review and request authorizations.

What you will do:

Comprehensive chronic pain care of the patients
  • Medication management includes weaning within the current standards of care.
  • Evaluating patients with a multidisciplinary team to determine which candidates are appropriate for enrollment in various care programs within the organization or a referral to others.
  • Analyze reports, test results, medical records, and examinations to diagnose any condition of patients and propose treatment options.
  • Discuss potential side effects of medication/treatment with patients and ensure that all allergy information is up to date before prescribing medication/treatment.
  • Provide advice to patients for lifestyle and dietary changes that may improve their health or help to treat the health issue they are experiencing.
  • Adhere to departmental policies, procedures and objectives, ongoing quality improvement objectives, safety, environmental, and infection control standards.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with all federal and state health information privacy laws.
  • Record complete, timely and legible medical records.


Qualifications:

• Licensure
  1. California Board Certified Physician License or Board Eligible Pain Resident/Fellow
  2. Current Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) and Department of Public Safety (DPS) registration, for prescription writing

Compensation Range:

$275,000 to $400, 000 Annually (plus productivity bonuses and incentives)

All compensation ranges are posted based on internal equity, job requirements, experience, and geographical locations.
