Physician - Hem/Onc

Ochsner Health is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Hem/Onc physician in Slidell, La. Ochsner MD Anderson Cancer Center is the leading clinical oncology program in the Gulf South Region. These projects have included a 115,000 ft2 expansion to the Gayle and Tom Benson Cancer Center, the new St Tammany Cancer Center in Covington, and the expansion of the Baton Rouge Cancer Center.

Ochsner MD Anderson Cancer Center is one of only seven MD Anderson Cancer Center partners in the country and the only one in Louisiana. It joins a collaborative network of hospitals and health care systems dedicated to advancing MD Anderson's mission to improve the quality and accessibility of cancer care and research. As such, Ochsner MD Anderson patients in southeastern Louisiana receive care based on the same protocols and practice standards provided at MD Anderson in Houston, Texas, and benefit from integration with its clinicians and researchers. Ochsner MD Anderson experts adhere to the philosophy, process and guidelines of MD Anderson's clinical leadership, and they provide a full range of multidisciplinary care options, including medical oncology, surgery and radiation.

Position Highlights:

• Joined by a 9-physician group and 4 APPs
• Call: Every 9-11 weeks during the weekend (Friday-Sunday) then during the week it is by phone only (5pm-8pm).
• No pediatrics
• Schedule: 36 hours of patient contact and 4 hours of indirect patient care.
• This will be an inpatient and outpatient practice.
• Dedicated support staff and team for the physician, patient, and their families.
