Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Opportunity | Ogdensburg, NY
The Opportunity

We are seeking a Board Eligible or Board Certified (BE/BC) Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our established pediatric behavioral health team. In this role, you will lead clinical care for children, adolescents, and their families within our specialized youth unit, providing expert psychiatric evaluations, tailored medication management, and individualized treatment planning to support stabilization, emotional wellness, and long-term recovery.
Key Responsibilities
  • Comprehensive Care: Conduct specialized psychiatric and developmental evaluations to diagnose and manage acute and chronic mental health conditions in pediatric and adolescent patients.
  • Clinical Intervention: Provide age-appropriate pharmacological management, family-centered psycho-education, and crisis intervention.
  • Collaboration: Work alongside an established team of psychiatrists, pediatric clinicians, social workers, and school systems to review health assessments and individualized treatment plans.
  • Patient Continuity: Conduct follow-up appointments to monitor developmental progress and ensure the long-term success of pediatric treatment plans.
  • Schedule: Primarily Day Shift with shared on-call duties (including nights/days for at least one weekend per month).
Qualifications
  • Education: MD or DO from an accredited program with completed Fellowship training in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry.
  • Certification: Board Eligible or Board Certified (BE/BC) in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry.
  • Inpatient Experience: Comfortable working within a pediatric/adolescent behavioral health unit and providing pediatric hospital-wide consultations.
  • Visas: We are actively welcoming J-1 and H-1B visa applicants for 2026 and 2027.
