Full Job Description
Clinic Physician

Cone Health is seeking a dynamic Chief of Neurology Services to lead our growing and innovative neurology division. This is a unique opportunity to drive strategic growth, elevate clinical excellence, and foster collaboration across inpatient, outpatient, and neuroscience services.

Principal Responsibilities:
  • Set and execute the strategic direction for neurology services.
  • Lead clinical, educational, and research initiatives.
  • Collaborate with neurosurgery to build a comprehensive neuroscience service line.
  • Champion high-quality, patient-centered care in a value-based environment.
  • Recruit, retain, and develop high-quality clinicians and staff.
  • Forge collaborative yet accountable working relationships with diverse and competing stakeholders based on alignment of purpose, mutual benefit, transparency, and trust.
  • Oversee the administrative operations of the department, including budgeting, resource allocation, and personnel management in collaboration with the Director of Neurology Services.


Qualifications:
  • Board Certified in Neurology and licensed to practice as an MD or DO in the state of North Carolina.
  • Prior leadership experience at the clinical specialty/division level or above of at least five (5) years.
  • Proven history of a demonstrated ability to obtain provider support when developing, implementing, and promoting projects, ventures, and programs in a shared leadership environment.
  • Proven history of building bridges between provider (independent and employed) and the System. Results measured by metrics such as satisfaction measures of patients, employees, and physicians.
  • Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience and skill in conflict resolution, problem-solving, negotiating, and team building.
  • Self-starter. Effective at prioritizing and managing multiple initiatives and tasks for him or herself and others and delegating appropriately and effectively.
  • Ability to collaborate, network, and create effective partnerships across the organization.
