JOB TITLE: Physician - Cardiologist Heart & Vascular
DEPARTMENT: MH HEART & VASCULAR-ELKINS
EXEMPT FROM OVERTIME: Yes
JOB SUMMARY
The physician provides Cardiovascular clinical care in both an outpatient and inpatient setting. Sees patients in our Elkins outpatient clinic and provides inpatient consults to Davis Memorial Hospital. Follows and directs evidenced based practices as established within the Heart and Vascular service line. Collaborates and coordinates the individual treatment plan with the clinical team as necessary to assure an appropriate continuum of care.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
• Graduate of Accredited Medical School. Board certified / Board eligible in Cardiology.
Experience/Physical Requirements:
Experience in group practice and/or hospital setting preferred.
Licensure/Certification:
• Active and unrestricted West Virginia License. Current Federal and WV Drug Enforcement Agency Certificate. Fully credentialed according to by laws of the organization.
JOB SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Maintain and document all applicable required education and job knowledge ensuring licensure, credentials and continuing education are actively maintained and timely.
2. Demonstrate positive customer service and co-worker relations.
3. Comply with the company's attendance policy.
4. Participate in the continuous, quality improvement activities of the department and institution.
5. Perform work in a cost effective manner.
6. Attend mandatory in-service, staff meetings and medical staff meetings as required.
7. Perform work in alignment with the overall mission and strategic plan of the organization.
8. Follow organizational and departmental policies and procedures, as applicable.
9. Completes all required competencies on time.
10. Perform related duties as assigned.
