Advanced Practice Clinician (Physician Assistant / Nurse Practitioner) - Surgical Oncology Providence, RI 02908

We are currently seeking a Physician Assistant (PA-C) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our growing Surgical Oncology team at Roger Williams Medical Center. This position offers broad-based surgical oncology experience, with an additional focus on breast health and breast cancer care.

This is a highly collaborative role working closely with fellowship-trained surgical oncologists within a multidisciplinary cancer program. The position includes a mix of outpatient care, perioperative management, and operative/intraoperative experience, with the opportunity to assist in the operating room.

You will be joining an established team that includes multiple Advanced Practice Clinicians, providing a strong collaborative and supportive clinical environment.

This is a full-time, hospital-employed position with a Monday-Friday schedule and no weekend or night call, supporting excellent work-life balance.

We are seeking a motivated and compassionate APC who is passionate about oncology and committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.

ABOUT THE ROLE:
• Provide comprehensive care to patients across surgical oncology, including breast cancer care
• Participate in outpatient clinic, perioperative care, and operative/intraoperative assistance
• Engage in a model of graduated autonomy, with the opportunity to develop an independent clinic over time
• Participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards and collaborative treatment planning
• Assist in the development and management of a high-risk breast clinic, including coordination of genetic testing and risk assessment
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team including surgical oncology, medical oncology, radiation oncology, radiology, genetics, social work and nursing.
• Support patient education, care coordination, and longitudinal follow-up across the cancer continuum

OUR PROGRAM VISION:

Our Surgical Oncology and Breast Health Program is built on a multidisciplinary approach to care, with close collaboration between surgical oncology, medical oncology, and radiation oncology across the full continuum of a patient's cancer journey.

In addition to clinical excellence, we are actively developing an integrative and holistic program that supports the whole patient. This includes collaboration with nutrition services, physical therapy, lymphedema therapy, mental wellness resources, wound care, and social support services, as well as participation in cancer support programs and survivorship initiatives.

The APC will play a key role in helping to grow and shape this program.
