Responsibilities- Assists in the diagnoses and therapeutic management of children referred for developmental delays/disorders and/or behavior concerns, under the supervision of a physician
- Performs medical and developmental screenings and evaluation of infants and toddlers
- Obtains thorough histories and physicals on pediatrics patients
- Assists in determining needed evaluations for new patients
- Provides information and support to families regarding the diagnostic process and guidance and implications regarding diagnosis
- Initiates referrals to other physicians and agencies
- Responsible for prescribing and monitoring medications
- Orders appropriate laboratory, radiological and diagnostic studies
- Updates and maintains electronic health records
- Regular and prompt attendance
- Ability to work schedule as defined and additional hours as required
- Related duties as required.
- Completes all mandatory department, educational and hospital requirements
- Adheres to current Infection Control and Safety Standards

Qualifications- Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant training program. Required
- Licensed with the State of Alabama as a Physician Assistant within 60 Days Required
- Comparable combination of education and experience may substitute for the above requirements.
