Physician Assistant (PA) - Pain Management
Monday-Thursday 7:00 AM-4:00 PM & Friday 8:00 AM-1:00 PM | $110,000-$120,000/year + Bonus Potential | Full-Time
Location: West Des Moines, IA 50266
What You'll Do- As a Physician Assistant, you'll evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with chronic pain conditions while collaborating closely with physicians to deliver outstanding outpatient care.
- Conduct patient evaluations and physical examinations
- Obtain medical histories and formulate treatment plans
- Order, interpret, and review diagnostic studies
- Prescribe medications within state regulations
- Perform procedures within scope of practice, including injections, wound care, suturing, immunizations, and infection management
- Educate patients on treatment options and overall wellness
- Monitor patient outcomes and modify treatment plans
- Assist physicians with complex cases and emergency situations
- Maintain accurate patient documentation
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and perform additional assigned duties
Qualifications
Required- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program (ARC-PA)
- Current Iowa Physician Assistant license
- Current unrestricted DEA license
- BCLS certification
- Ability to maintain continuing education and certification requirements
- Strong computer and documentation skills
Preferred- ACLS certification
- Experience in pain management, orthopedics, spine, family medicine, or related specialty
