Physician Assistant - Instant OrthoThis position will be based out of our InstantOrtho clinic. Focusing on walk in orthopedic cases. This is a great opportunity to work autonomously in a fast pace, clinic based role.
As a Physician Assistant with OrthoArizona, you will get to: - Maintain a patient treatment schedule consistent with the needs of the Physician.
- Obtain complete medical history and physical data on patients.
- Review patient medical records.
- Interpret and integrate data to determine appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as needed.
- Perform complete physical exam and records findings.
- Establish presumptive diagnosis.
- Order appropriate lab and diagnostic procedures.
- Administer injections and medications.
- Advise patients regarding health and illness prevention.
- Recommend community resources to help patient and family needs.
- Instruct patient and family regarding medication and treatment procedures.
- Assist physicians in recording patient progress.
- Issue diagnostic orders.
- Triage patient phone calls.
- Provide monitoring and continuity of care between physician visits.
- Provide on call services on assigned basis.
- Prioritize work activities based on clinical demands.
- All other duties assigned.
Qualifications: - Working knowledge of computer programs.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Complete and maintain HCP training.
- Understand/Perform training on practice management software.
- Continue to expand knowledge of practice management software as updates occur.
- Follow all Standard Operating Procedures.
Minimum Qualifications: - Graduation from accredited Physician Assistant Program.
- Certification from the National Commission on certification of Physician Assistants.
- Maintain Arizona State License.
- Maintain CPR certification.
Preferred Qualifications: - 2 years of Physician Assistant experience in a busy orthopedic practice.
