Full Job Description
Location: Thornton, Colorado
Status: Full-Time
Schedule: Three 12-hour shifts per week
Clinic Hours: 8:00 AM-8:00 PM, seven days a week
Compensation: $60-$80 per hour, based on experience, plus bonus opportunities

Position Summary

NextCare is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our urgent care team in Thornton, Colorado.

This opportunity is ideal for a clinician who values autonomy, variety, and meaningful community impact while working in a fast-paced, well-supported urgent care environment.

Full-time clinicians typically work three 12-hour shifts per week, allowing them to be off more days than they work. Monthly schedules are released in advance, and there are no after-hours charting or follow-up responsibilities.

You will be supported by experienced clinical teams, strong peer relationships, clear practice guidelines, and accessible medical leadership who are available for real-time guidance and support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages

  • Maintain productivity consistent with urgent care expectations

Required Qualifications

  • Active, unrestricted Colorado Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license
  • Nurse Practitioners must hold FNP certification through ANCC or AANP
  • Physician Assistants must hold active NCCPA certification
  • Active DEA license or ability to obtain
  • Ability to treat patients of all ages
  • Active BLS certification
  • EHR proficiency
  • Willingness to work rotating weekends and holidays
  • DOT certification or willingness to obtain; associated fees are covered

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous urgent care, emergency medicine, or fast-track experience
  • Strong procedural skills, including suturing, splinting, and wound care
  • Experience with initial X-ray interpretation before radiology over-read
