Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program
• Current PA license in State of Oklahoma required
• NCCPA certified or eligible
• One year in orthopedics is preferred
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Experience with Epic software is a plus
• Strong computer skills

Responsibilities

• Provide acute and chronic patient care including taking patient histories
• Perform pre and post-operative care for patients
• Deliver wound care and suturing as required
• Monitor patient therapies effectively
• Prescribe appropriate medications to patients
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests properly
• Handle patient calls as needed
• Educate patients and their families on care procedures and conditions
• Complete discharge summaries as requested by the physician
