Short DescriptionWe are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Family Practice Physician Assistant to join our Cooper Care Alliance team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive, patient-centered care to individuals and families across all ages, focusing on prevention, wellness, and the management of chronic and acute conditions in an outpatient setting.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide high-quality, evidence-based primary care to a diverse patient population.
- Conduct physical exams, diagnose and treat illnesses, order and interpret diagnostic tests.
- Develop and manage treatment plans, including prescribing medications and coordinating referrals.
- Promote preventive care and health education to patients and families.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including nurses, medical assistants, behavioral health, and specialists.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical meetings.
- Adhere to organizational policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
The Physician Assistant is a skilled person, qualified in academic and clinical education to provide patient services under the supervision of a staff physician both in a clinical office and operating room environment.
Education RequirementsMaster's Degree as a Physician Assistant is required
Experience RequiredExperience in an ambulatory or outpatient care setting preferred.
Experience with electronic health records (e.g., Epic).
License/Certification Requirements- Board certification as Physician Assistant
- Active New Jersey License
- American Heart Association BLS
Special Requirements- Bilingual or multilingual skills are a plus.
- Interest in population health, quality improvement, or teaching.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
