JOB SUMMARY:

The Urology Physician Assistant (PA-C) is an advanced practice provider who delivers high-quality, patient-centered care across the continuum of urologic services. This role includes assisting urologic surgeons in the operating room, performing inpatient rounds for consultative and post-operative care, and independently evaluating and managing patients in the outpatient clinic under the supervision of board-certified urologists. The PA functions as an integral member of the multidisciplinary urology care team, supporting efficient patient flow, continuity of care, and optimal clinical outcomes.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION:

Bachelor's degree required. Must have current South Carolina Physician Assistant Licensure.

EXPERIENCE:

Minimum 3 years work experience as a Physician Assistant, prefer experience in urology, surgery or a surgical subspecialty.

JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED:

Knowledge relating to Family Practice, Internal, and Urologic medicine. Must have an understanding of surgical and medical treatment of diseases of the male and female urinary tract (kidneys, bladder, ureters, urethra) and male reproductive system. Able to diagnose and treat conditions like kidney stones, urinary tract infections, bladder cancer, prostate issues, and male infertility.

CERTIFICATIONS/ LICENSES:

Must have current South Carolina Physician Assistant Licensure.
