Full Job Description
Pediatric Physical Therapist (PT) at TKC Therapy
Full-time, Part-time, or PRN hours available. All kids are on-site daily, so no there's no appointments-- you decide your own schedule!

Responsibilities:
1. Assess and diagnose a variety of developmental, congenital, neurological, and musculoskeletal disorders for the medical population, ages birth to 21.
2. Develop individualized treatment plans following a comprehensive evaluation to address clients' strength and mobility difficulties.
3. Utilize evidence-based practice in therapy sessions tailored to each client's specific impairments, including:
• Therapeutic exercises to improve strength, flexibility, and endurance.
• Neuromuscular re-education techniques to enhance motor control and coordination.
• Manual therapy techniques to improve joint mobility and tissue flexibility.
• Gait training and balance activities to improve mobility and stability.
• Use of adaptive equipment or assistive devices to facilitate functional independence.
4. Complete all documentation (evaluations, treatment notes, LMNs) in a timely, thorough manner.
5. Provide education and guidance to clients, families, and caregivers on strategies for carry-over therapy at home.
6. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians, nurses, and fellow therapists, to coordinate comprehensive care for clients.
7. Stay current with advancements in the field through continuing education and professional development activities.
8. Adhere to ethical and professional standards outlined by the APTA.

Qualifications:
1. Possession of a master's or doctorate degree in physical therapy from an accredited program and state licensure from the Department of Health.
2. Clinical experience working with the pediatric population (medical pediatric population strongly preferred).
3. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with clients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
4. Proficiency using standardized assessment tools, therapeutic interventions, and assistive technologies relevant to the field.
5. Commitment to maintaining professional competency and adhering to HIPAA policies and ethical standards.
6. Current CPR (BLS) certificate.

Benefits: (for full-time, W-2 employees)
  • Flexible schedule - days worked, start/end time, and daily scheduling of patients is heavily up to the therapist, as long as caseload coverage is being met. We are open Saturdays if you'd like the opportunity to see extra hours, but this is not required.
