Position Summary:

The Physical Therapist is responsible for evaluating, treating, and guiding patients through individualized rehabilitation programs designed to improve mobility, reduce pain, restore function, and support recovery from orthopedic injuries and procedures. This role works closely with physicians, clinical staff, and patients to develop and implement treatment plans that align with each patient's functional goals and overall plan of care.

The Physical Therapist provides hands-on patient care in an outpatient orthopedic setting while promoting a positive, professional, and patient-focused experience. This position plays an important role in helping patients safely return to daily activities, improve physical function, and achieve optimal recovery outcomes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate patients and develop individualized treatment plans based on physician referrals, patient goals, and clinical findings.
  • Administer therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and rehabilitation modalities appropriate to the patient's condition and treatment plan.
  • Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed to support recovery and functional improvement.
  • Educate patients on exercises, injury prevention, post-operative rehabilitation, and home exercise programs.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR/EHR) system.
  • Communicate effectively with physicians, clinical staff, patients, and family members regarding treatment plans and patient progress.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized treatment environment.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable healthcare regulations, documentation standards, and safety requirements.
  • Support a positive, team-oriented, and patient-focused clinical environment.
  • Participate in continuing education and professional development activities as appropriate.
  • Perform additional clinical duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
  • A graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program is required.
  • Current Pennsylvania Physical Therapist license required.
  • Previous outpatient orthopedic experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, rehabilitation techniques, and medical terminology.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient education skills.
