The Physical Therapist - Outpatient Float provides high-quality, patient-centered care across multiple outpatient clinics within our network. This role supports clinic operations by filling staffing needs related to staff time off, vacancies, schedule fluctuations, and program growth. The Float PT adapts to varying caseloads, clinic environments, and team structures while maintaining consistent clinical excellence and strong communication.

Standard Work: Physical Therapist - OP Float- Role models adaptability and professionalism while rotating across multiple outpatient clinics, maintaining high standards of Physical Therapy practice
- Participates in team development, supports clinic specific goals, and contributes to departmental objectives across all assigned locations
- Performs evaluation, treatment, and discharge planning with individualized plans of care that support positive outcomes and efficient resource use
- Completes documentation that is accurate, timely, and reflective of patient progress and updates to the plan of care
- Initiates and coordinates patient and family education, equipment needs, and discharge planning based on identified goals and comprehension
- Communicates effectively with physicians and interdisciplinary team members at each clinic, reporting significant findings promptly and seeking input as needed
- Facilitates coordinated care by initiating appropriate consults and collaborating with multidisciplinary providers
- Demonstrates flexibility in meeting staffing needs across clinics, maintaining productivity and efficient use of departmental resources
- Adapts quickly to varying clinic workflows, caseloads, and environments while ensuring consistent, high quality patient care
- Promotes patient, visitor, and staff safety through proper infection control practices, PPE use, and adherence to clinic specific safety protocols
Competencies & Skills
Essential:
- Working knowledge of basic computer skills
