Orthopedic APP - Hospital basedPosition OverviewLakeland Regional Health is seeking a Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) to support a high volume inpatient Orthopaedic practice. Primary focus will be prioritization of hand patients, but they will need to also care for inpatients from other orthopaedic subspecialties as needed.
This role is designed for a highly motivated APP, interested mainly in hospital-based care. This position includes a robust training period with the APP and physician staff over the first several months. Expectations are for the PA or NP to function on a high level of independence once fully trained in their respective position.
Experience - Experienced candidates preferred:
- 2-5+ years of orthopaedic experience strongly preferred with clinical experience
- New graduates must:
- Show strong interest in orthopaedics required with previous exposure to orthopaedics or musculoskeletal medicine recommended
- Be highly motivated to learn in a fast-paced environment with ability to learn independently as well as learn from colleagues. Training period length will be based on each individuals needs

Qualifications - Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program
- Must have current Florida medical license or ability to obtain one as NP or PA
- NCCPA certification (PA) or national board certification (NP) required
- Strong clinical judgment, efficiency, and patient communication skills
- Must have ability to work independently with the support of fellow APPs and physicians
