Job Description:POSITION SUMMARY
As a Physical Therapist, you will complete comprehensive patient assessments, develop a patient-centered plan of care and implement best practice physical therapy interventions to help patients achieve their highest desired state of health and well-being.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONSEducation/Licensure/Certification:
- Master's degree (or higher) in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
- Current licensure or eligibility for state licensure as a Physical Therapist, by the Board of Medical Examiners, State of California.
- Current Healthcare Worker Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Knowledge/Experience:
- Knowledge and application of Physical Therapy professional practice, code of ethics and regulatory requirements.
- Competent working knowledge of standard practice procedures and equipment used in delivering physical therapy in the inpatient and/or outpatient environment.
- Knowledge of and ability to follow infection control procedures in patient care settings.
Skills:
- Strong clinical reasoning and decision-making skills with the ability to prioritize patient care needs.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with physicians and work cooperatively with a diverse healthcare team.
- Commitment to providing compassionate care and advocacy for patients' functional independence and well-being.
- Ability to adapt quickly to the changing needs in healthcare, promote continuous improvement and speak up when patient safety is at risk.
- Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) and other clinical documentation systems.
