Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)Location: New York, NY
Position: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Salary: $90,000 - $104,000 per year
Summary As a PTA in an outpatient setting, your day will be centered on patient sessions-helping people rebuild movement after injury, surgery, or chronic pain flare-ups. You'll follow established plans of care, keep patients engaged and safe during rehab, and keep the PT informed so care stays on track.
Responsibilities- Carry out treatment plans designed by the Physical Therapist
- Lead therapeutic exercise sessions and functional training
- Provide hands-on assistance and cueing for safe movement patterns
- Apply modalities per direction and clinic guidelines
- Record progress, outcomes, and patient feedback during each visit
- Communicate promptly with the PT about changes or concerns
- Help keep schedules moving smoothly and treatment spaces ready
Requirements- PTA degree from an accredited program
- New York PTA license in good standing
- CPR/BLS certification
- Basic comfort with EMR/documentation systems
- Strong patient communication and professionalism
