Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)

Location: Hartford, CT
Position: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Salary: $90,000 - $104,000 per year

Summary
The PTA works directly with patients to carry out rehabilitation programs that support recovery and long-term function. You'll support patients through structured sessions, reinforce proper movement mechanics, and keep the Physical Therapist informed with accurate clinical observations and documentation.

Responsibilities
  • Carry out treatment plans designed by the Physical Therapist
  • Lead therapeutic exercise sessions and functional training
  • Provide hands-on assistance and cueing for safe movement patterns
  • Apply modalities per direction and clinic guidelines
  • Record progress, outcomes, and patient feedback during each visit
  • Communicate promptly with the PT about changes or concerns
  • Help keep schedules moving smoothly and treatment spaces ready
