$47-$50 per hour (DOE) and a comprehensive benefits package.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, Full-Time

Position Summary
The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) assists the supervising Physical Therapist with resident-related activities and direct resident care. The PTA works closely with residents, families, nursing staff, and the interdisciplinary team to provide high-quality rehabilitation services that promote independence, mobility, and overall well-being.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide physical therapy treatments and interventions as directed by the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Complete timely, accurate, and compliant documentation in accordance with facility policies, governmental regulations, and third-party payer requirements.
- Maintain a safe treatment environment by adhering to infection control, safety, and equipment maintenance protocols.
- Participate in Resident Care Conferences and Rehabilitation Department meetings as needed.
- Assist the nursing department with training and support of Restorative Aides.
- Communicate regularly with the supervising Physical Therapist to ensure timely updates regarding resident progress, goals, physician communication, discharge planning, and interdisciplinary care coordination.
- Provide in-service training and educational programs for facility staff as needed.
- Educate residents, families, and caregivers on treatment plans, home exercise programs, safety techniques, maintenance programs, and fall prevention strategies.
- Recommend and assist with obtaining durable medical equipment to promote resident independence and safety, including walkers, canes, splints, elevated toilet seats, grab bars, and other adaptive equipment.
- Maintain confidentiality of resident and company information at all times.
- Report equipment issues promptly to ensure all rehabilitation equipment remains in safe working condition.
- Participate in quality assurance, performance improvement initiatives, and rehabilitation program development.
- Build positive, professional relationships with residents, families, staff members, and healthcare professionals.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Associate Degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) program required.
- Current Physical Therapist Assistant license in the State of California required.
- Experience in a skilled nursing facility, post-acute care, rehabilitation, or long-term care setting preferred.
- Proficiency with electronic medical record systems and computer applications, including Net Health and PointClickCare.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team while providing compassionate resident-centered care.
