Early Intervention

Physical Therapist Assistant

We need a full time Physical Therapist Assistant. As a Physical Therapy Assistant at Looking Upwards, you should expect to utilize your clinical experience to treat children and coach parents to support implementation a plan of care which will utilize a variety of techniques in order to promote mobility and developmental gains. Supervision is over seen by a certified Physical Therapist and EI supervisor.

Qualifications Needed:
  • EI Physical Therapist Assistant is required to have a valid PTA license and be in good standing with the state of RI in order to be considered for this position.
  • Pediatric experience preferred
  • Must be willing to provide home based services throughout RI
  • Display strong interpersonal skills
  • Able to implement a coaching model when working with families
  • Able to work in a trans-disciplinary team
  • Demonstrated time management and multi-tasking skills
  • General computer proficiency

Applicants must also have a valid driver's license, auto liability insurance, safe driving record and access to a dependable vehicle. Prior to employment, successful candidates must pass RI BCI check, National background check and DCYF CANTs Clearance.
